Long, high final approach for landing in hemmed-in fields.

It may be necessary to change final approach entry point range and altitude so that the circular part of the landing pattern well up above surrounding forest. Then, the plane can come down on a long approach that just requires obstacle clearance over a narrow corridor rather than under the entire loiter circle.

For instance, assuming that the highest trees in the woods are 100ft high and the trees are not on a hill, we can double the final approach range + altitude  to 1200 ft range + 150 ft altitude. This gives some tolerance for less than perfect altitude hold.

At its furthest point during landing, plane will be at 1500 ft range.

As an alternative to long, high final approach, consider whether the field is large enough for a "loiter landing".
