Setup
If you see the "uThere" logo appear on the screen when your system is first powered up but you don't see any information displayed afterwards, contact support@uthere.com indicating that you need firmware and configuration for RubyOSD.
Let us know if you have a spare channel and switch on your transmitter that you'd like to use to switch displays, the channel number, and if it's a 2- or 3- position switch.
If you don't have a switch, let us know if you'd like the display to always be in "warn only" mode, or you want all information to always be displayed.
You'll be sent a set of files to put into the "ruby" directory on the SDFlash chip.
The first time that you power up Ruby with those files present, they'll be loaded automatically.
Fonts
You can change display font simply by replacing the ".mcm" file in the "ruby" directory on the SDFlash chip.
Layouts
You can change layouts by replacing the ".utosdlay" file in the "ruby" directory on the SDFlash chip.
(not yet supported).
Firmware updates
We plan ongoing additions and refinements to RubyOSD. You'll be able to update RubyOSD firmware simply by replacing the ".utosdfw" file in the "ruby" directory.
