The Expander adds these capabilities:

SD Flash

Enables detailed, high bandwidth flight recording and the ability to load new settings in the field without a computer..

USB

Needed to load new configuration from PC.

Also allows plane systems to be monitored / diagnosed on the benchtop in real time.

 

3 Extra servo channels

The Expander stacks on top of the controller.

The expander is not included in the standard Ruby package, but it will be included for free with orders placed before 7/1/2011. Afterwards, it will sell for approximately $50.
