Control of plane via PC and Joystick: Saitek X-52 mapping
For the Saitek X-52
Modes on PC Joystick:
Raw / manual joystick (don't use): Wheel at top right of joystick all the way towards you
Aided mode: Wheel in center position
Engage heading + altitude hold: joystick top trigger
Disengage heading hold: nudge joystick
DIsengage altitude hold: nudge throttle
Note: unlike handheld aided mode, centering PC joystick aileron does not lock heading, it just sets roll to zero.
Autonomous modes: Wheel in far position. Mode is selected using buttons:
Loiter at current position: "A" button (right thumb top right)
Come home and loiter: "B" button (right thumb bottom right)
Auto-land: "C" button (right thumb left)
Follow waypoints / UDP commands: "T1" (base of joystick, left, up)
Unlock aided / autonomous throttle: press "D" button on throttle
Lock / shut off aided/autonomous throttle: press "E" button on throttle
